In 2012, Portland Public Schools passed a bond initiative which supported the Roosevelt Modernization project. As part of the initiative, Roosevelt High School installed a 134.79 kW solar array (see live performance data). By leveraging the BEF, CE Bright Futures education resources and data monitoring, teachers from Roosevelt High School have the ability to incorporate generation data from the solar system into lesson plans to engage students in cutting edge renewable energy science, technology, and information based careers in renewable energy. BEF managed development of TIGO Energy Automated Programming Interface (API) to display solar production data on CEbrightfutures.org and configured a data generation display for the High School.
