Central Electric Community Solar

Live Solar Electric Generation

As Oregon's Largest Community Solar Project, Central Electric Cooperative energized its 200-kW photovoltaic system in January 2016, feeding the electricity produced directly into the co-op’s distribution system. The system, designed and built by Sunlight Solar Energy of Bend, uses seven hundred 285-watt panels manufactured by SolarWorld in Portland. Located in southeast Bend, this community solar project is supported by Central Electric members who share a sense of importance about solar energy.  Central Electric members can learn more about how to participate in the project by going to www.cec.coop/communitysolar. Details are available on both the Green Power and Shared Solar programs.
