About the School:
This 60 kW array was made possible by Pacific Power's Blue Sky renewable energy customers and the Energy Trust of Oregon, with match funding provided by St. Mary's School. The array is located on the roof of the Naumes Fine Arts and Athletics Center, which was the statewide test site for the Energy Trust's Solar-Ready construction program. The system is a demonstration of the school's ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability, which includes a ongoing, long-term restoration of Larson Creek and a campus garden that provides produce to a local food-share program. St. Mary's School is excited to bring this technology into their classrooms and their community. See live data here.

In 2014, educators within the school received a customized renewable energy teacher training, hands-on science kit materials to augment the school's existing curricula, and complete access to the resources available on the Solar4RSchools.org website. To optimize integration of renewable energy science and technology content, every aspect of the support provided by Solar 4R Schools was customized to fit the unique focus of the school community, including topics covered in the teacher training as well as our recommendations for activities and science kit materials to make integration of this new content as efficient as possible. Energy monitoring provided by the Solar 4R Schools program made the live performance data from their PV system available for educational purposes.
