2023-2024 Clean Energy Fellows: Pennsylvania Cohort
This cohort of educators from across Pennsylvania explored, tested, and designed innovative and equitable tools for engaging students in the rapidly innovating Pennsylvania energy sector which align with statewide STEELS Standards. These leaders worked in a small cohort to collaboratively plan classroom activities and school programming that built connections between students, the emerging energy workforce, and the advanced grid.

Meet the Clean Energy Fellows

Kurt Eck
Saint Joseph School, Danville PA
Kurt has extensive experience as a classroom and outside of classroom educator (Scouting and 4-H). He developed a place-based curriculum for his students to explore the history of energy in Pennsylvania that explores impacts of the coal industry.

Brian Grubbs
Western Beaver Jr/Sr High School, Industry PA
Brian has 30 years of teaching experience and has developed curriculum for a new Environmental Science for his school with regional place-based focus on energy in Pennsylvania.
