CE – Clean Energy. Bright Futures. collaborates with a national network of Clean Energy Fellows to co-create clean energy STEM experiences that engage youth in hands-on, career-connected learning while immersed in local climate solutions.
CE centers the deep expertise of these educator leaders to ensure a 10-year impact lifespan in their projects so that all students have the opportunity to participate in, benefit from, and lead in a clean energy future.
While the outcomes of specific cohorts vary from regional Action Plans to topic-specific curricular resources, all Clean Energy Fellows create learning experiences that are place-based and culturally sustaining, emphasizing the unique assets of their students and communities.
All Clean Energy Fellows projects are
aligned to five Leadership Priorities:
Access
Ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate in, benefit from, and lead in their local clean energy ecosystem.
Equity
Emphasize topics of justice and remove barriers to participation and access historically imposed on communities populations excluded from or harmed by energy development.
Longevity
Build mechanisms and relationships that ensure a self-sustaining, 10-year impact.
Reach
Amplify tools and expertise beyond the classroom of individual Clean Energy Fellows, providing access to education networks nationwide.
Partnership
Develop trusting and symbiotic relationships with industry, education, and community-based partners.
CE’s collaborative process with its Clean Energy Fellows emphasizes techniques that encourage co-design, centering local educator expertise throughout the design and implementation of their projects. CE collaborates with Clean Energy Fellows by providing planning tools, building content background, sharing hands-on learning tools and training, and building synergistic partnerships between partners throughout these educator leaders’ talent ecosystems.
“ My Clean Energy Fellowship experience revolutionized my science classroom, providing a platform to refine my teaching through peer review and inspiring fresh approaches through exposure to diverse educational practices. The generous financial support was instrumental in equipping students with hands-on clean energy technology.“
