Parker Mullins
Senior Director, CE
Parker joined BEF in 2015 and manages the CE program and its delivery team, providing strategic direction to its dynamic managers. He works daily with national partners in industry and educational spaces to develop two-way relationships between these spaces that encourage equity-driven energy education that leverages local resources and challenges.
Parker brings over a decade of experience working in varying educational environments, from being a high school classroom teacher to working in dual-diagnosis residential treatment for adolescents. He has also worked and volunteered in watershed restoration, a focus in his own education.

Parker believes there are few experiences more formative for developing educators than leading 200+ high school students through a tour of a wastewater treatment plant.
Rosemary Lopez
Curriculum Design and Training Manager, CE
Rosemary joined the CE team at BEF in 2021 to focus on energy curriculum, educator resources, and teacher training. She works with educators nationwide to implement programs that meet the needs of local communities and classrooms through culturally sustaining professional development.
Rosemary is a former science educator with two decades of classroom experience at the K-12 and college levels, developing curriculum focused on place-based biology, ecology and interdisciplinary sciences. She has also served as a school administrator, college counselor, curriculum specialist, and volleyball coach.

FUN FACT:
Born and raised in California, Rosemary’s favorite place to be is near the ocean. She has snorkled up and down the Pacific coast with rays, sea lions, hammerheads, and whale sharks.
Laney Sterry
STEM Engagement and Training Manager, CE
Laney joined the Clean Energy. Bright Futures team at BEF in 2023 as a STEM Engagement and Training Manager. Their work focuses on connecting with the STEM community, supporting teachers through professional development and collaborating with external partners to develop effective clean energy learning experiences.
Laney is a former science museum educator with over 10 years of experience teaching informal STEM education courses across the Pacific Northwest for learners of all ages. They are also a highly skilled public speaker with a knack for engaging and joyful presentations that inspire and educate audiences everywhere.

When Laney isn’t working you can find them out walking slowly through the forest, riding their bike, drinking lots of tea or learning how to play the drums
Loridee Wetzel
Educator Leadership Coordinator, CE
Loridee joined the Clean Energy. Bright Futures team at BEF in 2024 as the Educator Leadership Coordinator after 2 years of helping the team. They collaborate with the CE team and external partners to provide professional learning experiences for educators and coordinate educator leadership programs.
Loridee is a former youth robotics program manager with over 10 years of experience working with youth STEM education programs in formal and informal education settings. They believe that inspired kids are capable of changing the world. Before working in education, she worked as a fisheries biologist, archivist, and computer programmer.

Despite caring for owls, snakes, fish, a squirrel, and an assortment of domestic animals and hosting a panel that included a retired astronaut; Loridee still hasn’t achieved their childhood dream of having a zoo on the moon.
